Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist in cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to high hygiene standards, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Equipment and Chemicals: Learn proper use of cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals, ensuring their safe handling and application.
  • Supply Management: Replenish supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linen, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Laundry Services: Help with laundry sorting, washing, drying, and ironing, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Health and Safety: Understand and follow health and safety procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents to supervisors.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the housekeeping team to achieve daily operations goals, providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report maintenance issues or lost and found items to supervisors, maintaining effective communication channels.
  • Time Management and Protocols: Learn effective time management and room-cleaning protocols, prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional Attitude: Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and team members, fostering a respectful and courteous environment.">

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or related field an asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or related role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods, with frequent bending, stooping, and walking.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals, with willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Basic math skills, with ability to manage cash and operate point-of-sale systems (if applicable).">
