Category Manager IT Procurement.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead our IT procurement efforts. This is a critical role that will be responsible for negotiating and contracting with suppliers, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

As a Category Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, improve supply chain efficiency, and develop strategic plans to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Negotiate and contract with suppliers for all types of IT hardware, software, and related services.
  2. Manage procurement processes from procurement to payment (P2P) cycle, ensuring timely delivery and settlement.
  3. Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business objectives, including cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field, preferably in a large and complex organization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
