The main objective of this role is to design, implement and maintain databases.

As a senior database administrator you will be in charge of provisioning, maintaining and scaling our critical data storage platforms. You will build, maintain and scale production services across multiple global data centers and public cloud providers.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can take ownership of the highest performing databases out there, collaborate well and codes automation. If you remain calm in a crisis and have a strong background in database administration we want to talk to you

  • Collaborate with other team members to manage both our SQL-based and NoSQL databases.
  • Manage high transaction rate databases including configuration, administration, monitoring, security management, performance optimization, replication, troubleshooting, and backup of both traditional SQL databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Install, configure and upgrade nodes in high availability customer clusters.

We are seeking an experienced database administrator with a strong background in database administration and development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Cassandra architecture, configuration and performance tuning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy scalable and efficient database solutions.
  • Optimize database performance, ensure data consistency, and implement backup and recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize database requirements.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the design, maintenance and administration of NoSQL databases required.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the design, maintenance and administration of traditional SQL-based databases required.
