Postgres SQL Developer

As a Postgres SQL developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing complex data systems that support millions of customers.

  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure high availability, security, performance, and scalability.
  • Plan and deploy database infrastructure, performing upgrades and migrations as needed.
  • Develop expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL database performance, query tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Contribute to infrastructure changes on AWS with a deep understanding of AWS services.
  • Manage complex data replication environments serving batch and real-time use cases.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on development and operational experience with Postgres (AWS Aurora Postgres).
  • Experience with AWS Data Migration Service.
  • Extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of hosting on cloud with AWS services.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Shell for DevOps automation.
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus.
