Financial Systems Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Specialist to support the implementation and maintenance of SAP financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customize, and support SAP FI/CO modules including AR, AP, GL, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Project Systems, Electronic Bank Statement, and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Design and implement SAP solutions for healthcare DME industry-specific requirements including rental billing, revenue recognition, depreciation, and cost allocation.
  • Strong integration expertise with FI-MM, FI-SD, and equipment rental modules, including Logistics Invoice Verification.
  • Create and maintain FI Master Data; implement validations and substitutions for enhanced process control.
  • Possess basic SAP ABAP knowledge for debugging, analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Extensive experience in SAP configuration, testing, documentation, and production support for complex system environments.
  • Prepared and validated test scripts covering various SAP FICO sub-modules.
  • Facilitated end-to-end testing for Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report cycles, ensuring process integrity across modules.
  • Logged, analyzed, and resolved test defects in coordination with technical teams, ensuring timely closure.
  • Conducted mock cutover and data validation activities to verify system readiness before go-live.
  • Ensured all testing documentation, results, and sign-offs were completed to comply with audit and project governance standards.

Business Process & Project Expertise:

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to gather and translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
  • Map existing processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and implement automation opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, healthcare regulations, and DME-specific reporting standards.
  • Provide user assistance, training, and system adoption support.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, functional design, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.
  • Experienced in working within team-oriented, collaborative environments with strong interpersonal skills.
  • High-energy, self-motivated professional with analytical, problem-solving, and process management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo, drive process improvements, and achieve organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP FI/CO configuration and support.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
