Job Title: Chief Financial Strategist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Strategist to lead our financial strategy, controls, compliance, and reporting functions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting requirements across jurisdictions and ensure timely compliance.
  • Design and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes aligned with crypto asset flows.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams on AML, KYC, tax, and regulatory filings.
  • Lead treasury operations, including liquidity management, crypto wallet oversight, exchange accounts, and banking relationships.
  • Evaluate financial and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team and board to inform decision-making.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • More than 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3-5 years in fintech or payments companies.
  • A strong understanding of crypto markets, blockchain transactions, digital asset accounting, and custody mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing statutory and regulatory audits and collaboration with tier 1 audit firms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial controls, risk management, and treasury operations within a dynamic environment.
  • A hands-on leadership style, with proven comfort operating within startups or scale-ups with limited resources.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with external regulators, partners, and internal teams.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualifications (with CFA certification preferred).

  • Experience with Crypto payment or infrastructure space.
  • Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional licensing (e.g., DIFC, MAS, EU MiCA, etc.).
  • Exposure to UAE tax accounting and cross-border payments framework.
