Job Title: Chief Cybersecurity Strategist

The position of Chief Cybersecurity Strategist plays a vital role in driving the development and implementation of comprehensive information security strategies across the organization. This senior leadership position oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of cybersecurity initiatives to safeguard the organization's assets and maintain its reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Incident Response Management: Develop and implement timely and effective security incident response plans within a 24x7 SOC environment, ensuring seamless management of response to security and operational incidents, as well as ongoing security requests.
  • Security Controls Optimization: Collaborate with global teams to support vulnerability management processes, including operating system (OS) and infrastructure patching, hardening, and testing efforts. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments (VAPT) and prioritize remediation activities to minimize risk exposure.
  • Technology Lifecycle Management: Oversee the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for security solutions, which includes new investments and business-as-usual financials. Operate and manage various security tools, including Host Intrusion Detection Systems (HIDS), Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), analyzers, scanners, and more, to ensure their optimal performance and return on investment.
  • Threat and Vulnerability Identification: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate security threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct in-depth analysis of security events to determine root causes and potential impacts, providing recommendations for mitigation and remediation solutions to address identified security issues.

Candidates for this role should possess a proven track record of managing technical resources to deliver technology lifecycles, relevant experience working with or for global exchanges or global financial firms, and solid knowledge and experience in cloud technologies.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A strong background in managing technical resources to deliver technology lifecycles.
  • Relevant experience working with or for global exchanges or global financial firms.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in cloud technologies, including cloud security architecture, design, and operations.
  • Relevant experience with SecDevOps principles, Security Automation, and Orchestration.
  • Must have relevant experience with industry best-practice approaches to the design, implementation, operation, and management of IT systems (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, ITIL, COBIT).
  • Must have relevant experience with information security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP).
  • Must have strong information security technology knowledge and be able to effectively communicate with senior management and a broad range of technical/non-technical audiences.
  • Must have a relevant University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
