Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our data team. You will be responsible for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues.

  • Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
  • Manage user access and permissions.
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, collaborating with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
  • Commission and decommission data sets.
  • Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain reports and analyses.
  • Design and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Assist initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Assess tests and implement new or upgraded software, assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
  • Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
  • Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in computer science.
  • Work experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or in a related field.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms.
  • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
