Job Overview

A Data Scientist plays a pivotal role in informing business strategy and enhancing operational efficiency by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. They employ programming, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns, build predictive models, and communicate insights effectively.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be proficient in various programming languages, and possess excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and organize data using statistical methods.
  • Develop innovative solutions to problems encountered during data collection and cleaning, as well as when developing statistical models and algorithms.
  • Compile data from multiple sources and prepare it for analysis.
  • Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Design and implement machine learning models and predictive algorithms to solve business challenges.
  • Validate findings using statistical techniques to ensure accuracy.
  • Produce clear, engaging visualizations and reports to communicate results.
  • Collaborate closely with different teams to apply data-driven insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role (SFIA level 3-4).
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, and other programming languages.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker), MLops scalability, and model development.
  • Excellent communication skills - both visual and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders with proactivity and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
