The Head of Engineering will oversee the design, development, and testing of power electronic systems for various applications. This senior leadership role involves leading a team of engineers, managing projects, fostering innovation with new technologies like SiC/Si-IGBT semiconductors, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with other departments and external partners to bring products from concept to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership of the team
  • Define and lead the R&D strategy to develop products meeting application requirements and specifications
  • Develop a manufacturing roadmap to support the execution of the product roadmap
  • Oversee design, development, and testing of power electronic circuits, converters, inverters, controls, software, and integrated systems
  • Lead the creation of BOMs, test specifications, and technical documentation, and mfg documentation
  • Strong working knowledge of power-electronics selection and layout for Thyristors, IGBT, and Sic-MOSFET based switching devices and circuits
  • Knowledge of mitigation of EMI/EMC issues with power electronics circuits desired
  • Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary R&D team including electronics/Electrical engineers, Embedded Software/Hardware developers, and test engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Power Electronics or related field; PhD preferred
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in R&D management within the power electronics domain
  • Extensive experience in product development and lifecycle management
  • Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, embedded systems, control algorithms, and hardware design
