Job Title: Controllership Lead

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our financial reporting, audits, compliance and AP/payroll accounting functions.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and compliant financial operations, working closely with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing end-to-end accounting, audits, tax compliances and coordination with auditors.
  • Coordinating day-to-day financial operation matters and AP/payroll accounting closures.
  • Overseeing accounts, ledgers and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and monitoring policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines.
  • Driving operational efficiency by improving costing activities and developing a reliable cash flow projection process.
  • Overseeing and approving financial transactions and reconciliations.
  • Leading financial compliance and ensuring that all procedures and policies are business-focused.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in finance and controllership roles, preferably in fintech or tech environments.
  • Good working knowledge in IndAS/IFRS accounting standards.
  • Experience of working on Oracle ERP is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong command over data integrity, reconciliations and financial controls.

Desirable Qualification:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
