Senior E-commerce Technical Lead

We are seeking a seasoned technical lead to spearhead the development and implementation of our e-commerce platform.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and customizing large-scale e-commerce platforms using SAP Hybris. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, architecting solutions, and ensuring seamless integration with internal systems and third-party vendors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing e-commerce solutions that meet business objectives and quality standards;
  • Developing and maintaining custom APIs using design patterns;
  • Leading B2C Hybris accelerators by implementing all modules of eCommerce (Catalog Management, Product Merchandising, Inventory Availability, Shopping Cart and Checkout, Order Management, Search and Guided Navigation, SEO, Personalization, Gift Registry, Returns Management, Customer Service, Product Information, Backoffice Product Content Management, Pricing and Promotions);
  • Integrating with external payment processors and understanding related concepts such as hosted payment pages, direct API integration, and tokenization;
  • Extending commerce subsystems such as promotions, pricing, inventory, and customer service;
  • Experience with various caching- and in-memory data grid solutions like EhCache or Oracle Coherence;
  • Integration with CDN, social media, and customer experience analysis solutions;
  • Working with tools like JIRA, Rally, Git, Confluence.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Extensive experience in SAP Hybris e-commerce platform (B2C and B2B platforms), customizing Hybris-based e-commerce applications, Hybris CMS, and e-commerce suite;
  • Strong understanding of the entire e-commerce development process;
  • Expertise in product modeling, catalog structure, and workflows with solid knowledge of web technologies such as Java, J2EE application servers, portal applications, and standards, content management systems, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, and XML technologies;
  • Subject matter expertise in product merchandising, personalization, gift registry, returns management, and customer service;
  • Ability to design and develop high-quality backend and frontend code that meets business objectives and quality standards;
  • Strong testing and debugging skills at all levels, including unit, system, integration, and performance testing;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
