Job Title: Strategic Affairs Director

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing strategic interactions with government officials to ensure a favorable policy environment for our operations.

You will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring adherence to environmental clearances, labor law compliance, land use permissions, and industrial licensing requirements specific to Andhra Pradesh.

Additionally, you will develop and execute crisis communication protocols, serve as the primary media spokesperson during sensitive situations, and maintain relationships with key regional media personnel.

Furthermore, you will track policy developments affecting the steel/manufacturing sector, prepare position papers and advocacy strategies, and represent our interests in industry associations and government consultations.

Lastly, you will lead land acquisition processes, liaison with revenue officials, and coordinate with legal teams on property-related matters and dispute resolution.

Briefing senior leadership on political developments and coordinating with various departments to align corporate affairs strategies with business objectives is also part of your responsibilities.

  • Expertise in engaging with government and industry leaders to influence policy and advance business goals is essential.
  • Proven ability to handle media during crises and proactively mitigate risks is critical.
  • Deep knowledge of land procurement, labour standards, and the socio-political landscape of Vijayawada / Andhra Pradesh is required.
  • Capacity to develop and execute data-driven public affairs strategies is necessary.
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders within a complex, matrix organization are vital.
