We are looking for a highly skilled Professional to fill the position of Green Mobility Zone Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for reducing air pollution in Indian cities.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning or Design and/or related disciplines. Proven experience working on urban spatial and/or environmental issues is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing a Low Emission Zone framework tailored for Mathura
  • Conducting baseline assessments of vehicular and industrial emissions in the city
  • Identifying vehicle categories, emission thresholds and compliance strategies for the LEZ
  • Proposing monitoring mechanisms including the use of Vahan data, ANPR and on-ground enforcement
  • Assessing and recommending sustainable mobility solutions such as EV adoption pathways, public transport electrification, NMT integration and multimodal connectivity

Responsibilities (continued):

  • Supporting roadmap preparation for EV integration across municipal transport operations
  • Proposing policies for encouraging clean fuels, scrappage of end-of-life vehicles and charging infrastructure development
  • Working with municipal corporation, UPPCB, RTO, traffic police and state EV cell
  • Conducting consultations with local businesses, citizen groups and transport operators to ensure smooth LEZ implementation
  • Supporting awareness and capacity-building activities

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning or Design and/or related disciplines
  2. Proven experience working on urban spatial and/or environmental issues
  3. Excellent research, data analysis and communication skills
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills
  6. Responsiveness to stakeholder needs and requirements
  7. Hindi and English fluency is a must

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience working on green mobility, LEZ projects or similar in India or abroad
  2. Knowledge of government policies and regulations related to urban design, air quality and transportation
