The Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in maintaining an efficient kitchen operation. Their key responsibility is to constantly analyze and optimize food production quality and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain set standards and monitor time management effectively, ensuring seamless workflow.
- Provide ongoing training to ensure adherence to corporate guidelines, promoting consistency and excellence.
- Ensure safe, high-quality food products and exceptional guest satisfaction through rigorous quality control measures.
- Develop and comply with organizational systems, procedures, and objectives, driving business growth and success.
- Improve service and product quality within a technical area of expertise, fostering innovation and improvement.
- Adopt a helpful and accommodating manner when interacting with team members, promoting a positive work environment.
- Work collaboratively within agreed parameters to achieve tasks efficiently, leveraging collective strengths.
- Mentor and support subordinates to enhance morale and personal growth, cultivating future leaders.

Qualifications and Skills
- Advanced culinary skills, leadership experience, and a strong background in quality hotels and restaurants.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the profession, including time spent in well-recognized luxury hospitality establishments or upscale cruise lines.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in a reputable luxury hotel or upscale cruise line.
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
- Effective communication with senior management and ability to lead and make decisions.
- Strong administrative skills and experience coaching subordinates.
- Ability to be cost and quality conscious.
- Flexibility to work with international team members and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Perform duties under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines and time constraints.
Preferred Skills
- Cruise Ship Experience in 5-star Hotels or Fluency in additional languages.
