Function: Asset Care Specialist

Department: Equipment Management

Grade/Designation: Senior Equipment Manager

Job Goal

To ensure the optimal performance and maintenance of plant machinery & equipment's, ensuring smooth production targets with desired quality within time.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Familiarity with Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Computers, and Automation principles is essential.
  • Knowledge of standardizing, evaluating, and controlling machine spares is required.
  • A working knowledge of work and quality systems such as ISO, TS-16949, 5S, and TPM is necessary.
  • Familiarity with internet and computer technology is expected.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP and Oracle is preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal compliance (Factory Act) and environmental norms is mandatory.
  • Ability to train and guide the maintenance crew in troubleshooting, modifying circuits and mechanisms, procuring and maintaining spares, analyzing breakdowns, and implementing corrective and preventive actions is crucial.
  • Able to contribute to and work independently in the strategic planning of various maintenance functions.

REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Able to formulate, plan & execute comprehensive preventive, predictive & shutdown maintenance programs of machines.
  • Proficient in designing & reconditioning machine control panels.
  • Competent in Material Procurement ,Vendor development & negotiation.
  • Able to train & guide maintenance crew.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in maintenance department while working with manufacturing industries on below types of machines

  1. PLC based Special purpose machines
  2. Utilities like D.G. Sets, Air compressors, Cooling towers, Transformers, HT/LT switchgears
  3. Hydraulic & Mechanical presses.
  4. Material handling equipment's & conveyors
  5. Ovens & furnaces.
