The Channel Sales Head will be responsible for driving our sales efforts across various distribution channels in India. This position entails developing and implementing channel-specific sales strategies, managing key accounts, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with channel partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive sales strategies for different channels, analyzing performance and market trends to optimize sales efforts.
- Take ownership of the Channel P&L, reducing acquisition costs and maximizing revenue generation.
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts in each channel cohort, negotiating trading terms and setting sales targets.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of channel sales professionals, setting clear sales targets and conducting regular coaching and feedback sessions.
What You'll Do
You'll be responsible for:
- Driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies and relationship-building.
- Leading a team of channel sales professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to inform sales decisions.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in FMCG/FMCD/Telecom Sales head role, with at least 5 years in a Middle management to Senior Management position.
- Strong understanding of Indian distribution channels and channel operations.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.
