Advertising Business Development Manager

The role of an Advertising Business Development Manager involves driving the growth of Amazon's advertising business in India. The individual will have the opportunity to define and execute the advertising strategy for strategic brands, identify key stakeholders, establish internal and partner relationships, and drive adoption of Amazon's advertising products.

This position requires a strong understanding of the Indian digital advertising landscape and the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to think strategically and analytically about business opportunities and challenges, and experience with managing complex business relationships at scale.

This is a challenging role that requires a high level of customer obsession, Think Big capability, and experience in digital sales, account management, or business development. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and growing complex business relationships, developing and executing sales strategies, and personally closing complex deals end-to-end.

The role offers an opportunity to work closely with senior Amazon leadership teams, global product and business organizations, and to drive mutually-beneficial customer and partner relationships. A strong analytical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills is required to thrive in this fast-paced dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the advertising sales team to drive overall Amazon Advertising strategy and business growth.
  • Establish and build strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives across advertisers/brands to contribute to the overall growth and profit of Amazon India's business by nurturing our partner ecosystem.
  • Identify, rationalize, and define target market segments, engagement processes, and ads strategy for partners using data-driven insights to build and scale the ads business and ensure advertiser success on the platform.
  • Act as the advertisers' advocate to evangelize for their success working with Amazon India by partnering with product, account management, support, and global teams to drive advertiser success on Amazon's advertising platform.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a Tier 1 MBA and prior experience with India-based ad networks (on the demand side) and/or with media agencies with strong digital sales presence. Strong analytical abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good follow-through are essential. Prior experience with digital ads in sales, program management, or consulting is also beneficial.

A keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to win are critical attributes for this role. The ideal candidate should be able to develop and execute sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems, and programs to achieve revenue goals.
