Cloud Engineering Leadership Role

Job Summary:

Our organization seeks a seasoned cloud engineering professional to lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments. As a Cloud Engineering Architect Lead, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and optimizing Azure-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud infrastructure across multiple environments.
• Architect and Deploy Azure-Based Solutions: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using modern DevOps practices and deploy Azure-based solutions.
• Lead Cloud Migration and Modernization Initiatives: Drive cloud migration and modernization initiatives with an emphasis on Azure technologies.
• Develop and Maintain Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using modern DevOps practices.
• Implement and Manage Containerized Workloads: Implement and manage containerized workloads using AKS and EKS.
• Establish and Enforce Cloud Security Standards: Establish and enforce cloud security standards and best practices across environments.
• Build and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
• Provide Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Optimize Cloud Resource Usage: Optimize cloud resource usage and implement cost management strategies.
• Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.

Requirements:

• 8+ Years of Experience: 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering/architecture roles.
• Strong Hands-On Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Azure, plus working knowledge of AWS and GCP platforms.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes Orchestration: Proficiency with Kubernetes orchestration, particularly AKS, with knowledge of EKS.
• Experience with Karpenter, ArgoCD, and Istio: Experience with Karpenter, ArgoCD, and Istio in container environments.
• Demonstrated Expertise in Cloud Security: Demonstrated expertise in cloud security principles and implementations.
• Advanced Knowledge of Cloud Networking Concepts: Advanced knowledge of cloud networking concepts and solutions.
• Proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions: Proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code Tools: Experience with infrastructure as code tools (particularly Terraform, Azure ARM templates, and AWS CloudFormations).
• Self-Driven Work Ethic: Self-driven work ethic with ability to manage complex projects independently.
• Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure Certifications: Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Engineer).
• Experience with Azure Governance and Compliance Frameworks: Experience with Azure governance and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Hybrid Cloud Architectures: Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures.
• Background in Supporting Enterprise-Scale Applications: Background in supporting enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience with Azure Monitoring and Observability Tools: Experience with Azure monitoring and observability tools (such as DataDog).
