Cloud Engineering Expertise

Job Title: Senior Cloud Architect

Duration: Up to 6 months, with possible extension

Working Hours: Full-time EST hours (night shift)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical systems.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using languages such as Python and Bash for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments and protect sensitive data.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior cloud engineers and developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on AWS.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and industry-standard security protocols.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
