Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Database Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

  • Design and develop Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

To achieve this, you will work closely with application developers to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 2-3 years of experience working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in a development environment.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.
  • Experience with PL/SQL programming, including the creation of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and data modelling.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and tools for Oracle databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • 2-3 years of experience with Oracle 19c or later versions.
  • Knowledge of database security practices and data integrity concepts.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for database code management.
