Job Title:

Database Systems Architect

  • We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain database solutions.

 

  • The ideal candidate will develop, test, and deploy Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions, and triggers, optimizing and tuning SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency.

 

  • They will troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices for SQL and PL/SQL development.

 

  • The successful candidate will collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions, perform data modelling, and design database structures that meet application needs and business requirements.

 

  • They will create and maintain documentation for database procedures, structures, and processes, leveraging strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 

  • A strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL is essential, as well as proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.

 

  • Experience with PL/SQL programming, including the creation of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages, is required, along with familiarity with database design principles and data modelling.

 

  • Prior experience with Oracle 19c or later versions, knowledge of database security practices and data integrity concepts, and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for database code management are highly desirable.

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently as part of a team, are valued.
