Job Title

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our institution in a Director role. This is a unique opportunity to shape the vision and direction of our School of Governance.

This is a high-level leadership position that requires a strong strategic thinker with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the academic programs, research initiatives, and social activities of the institution.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Political Science/Public Policy/Law and at least 15 years of experience in academic leadership. They will possess a proven track record of delivering change and engaging others in a vision and direction.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee Academic Programs: Prepare strategic plans, evaluate institutional processes, and align them with the mission and vision of the institution.
  2. Design High-Quality Curriculum: Develop curricula that meet the needs of governance with a global perspective and are comparable to the best in the country.
  3. Lead Social Initiatives: Drive the social initiatives of the institution, including NLC, Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, National Teachers Congress, and others.
  4. Plan Manpower Needs: Recruit high-calibre faculty on time to ensure effective delivery of teaching, research, and consultancy activities.
  5. Focus on Faculty Development: Ensure that faculty members are kept abreast of latest developments in their respective areas of specialization.
  6. Engage with Society: Understand the changing needs of society and incorporate them into developing the curriculum of various programs.
  7. Track Legislative Issues: Collect and maintain up-to-date data on key policies, advocacy issues, economic trends, and legislative issues related to the field.
Requirements
  • PhD in Political Science/Public Policy/Law
  • At least 15 years of experience in academic leadership
  • Proven track record of delivering change and engaging others in a vision and direction
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple teams
  • Strong experience of engaging with government officials and multilateral organizations
