About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Deputy General Counsel to join our organization. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide strategic legal advice to our management and oversee corporate affairs.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report into the General Counsel and manage a large team spread across India. Your duties will include:
- Providing strategic legal advice to the management team.
- Overseeing corporate affairs, including relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring the company's legal obligations are met.
- Representing the company in legal proceedings.
- Liaising with stakeholders in the property and real estate development industry.
- Overseeing company secretarial activities.
- Working on Retail leasing, Commercial Contracts, Litigation Advisory, M&A and fund raising.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An LLB from a recognized university.
- A degree in Company secretary would be an add-on (preferred).
- At least 15+ years of experience in Real estate sector.
- A strong understanding of the property and real estate development sector.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and listening skills.
- A high level of integrity and professionalism.
- The ability to manage a large legal team.
- Great network in the law firm space.
- Experience working with large teams at different levels of their career.
