Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary Director of Innovation and Development to lead our R&D function. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on strategic innovation, product development, and technical excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision
    • Develop and implement the R&D strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize research projects and innovation initiatives.
    • Develop compelling business cases for new product innovations and improvements.
  • R&D Management
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D team.
    • Oversee new product development, formulation improvements, prototyping, and testing.
    • Monitor R&D performance metrics and ensure IP strategy aligns with research outputs.
    • Ensure seamless technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure product readiness and market fit.
    • Translate R&D outcomes into commercially viable offerings.
    • Foster open communication channels between R&D and other departments.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance
    • Stay up to date with scientific, technological, and market trends.
    • Ensure documentation, certification, and audit-readiness of R&D processes.
    • Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
