Product Merchandiser Job

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned product merchandiser to oversee the end-to-end process of getting products from design to delivery.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production timelines, costs, and quality while maintaining effective communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Execution: Manage the entire order flow from initial inquiries to final shipment.
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and procure materials, components, and accessories ensuring optimal costs and lead times.
  • Production Coordination: Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient and timely production, monitor progress, and highlight any issues.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Maintain clear and effective communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams resolving conflicts and negotiating terms.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of orders, materials, production processes, and shipping details.
  • Product Development: Assist in product development including material sourcing, costing, and sampling to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels optimize stock turnover and minimize waste ensuring smooth execution.
  • Sales Forecasting: Implement merchandise plans including sales forecasting and budget planning to drive business growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with buyers and channel partners delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • Min 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate and build relationships.
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software such as ERP systems and an understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of the Industry: Familiarity with different types of products manufacturing processes and industry best practices.
