
Business Development Manager

The Role:
As a key member of the branch team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by acquiring new current account customers. This involves interacting directly with customers, explaining and selling banking products, and acting as a liaison between customers and the bank to ensure exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in catchment mapping, customer feedback, and identifying potential opportunities to drive client acquisition, deepen customer relationships, and capitalize on lifetime value in each relationship to achieve larger organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire NTB Current account customers in identified segments and reference generation from specified catchment areas
- Ensure high-quality current accounts in terms of product mix, segments, and constitution mix
- Proactive registration and activation of acquired customers to direct banking channels
- Meet and exceed defined targets of new customer acquisitions month-on-month by analyzing transaction banking needs of the customer
- Assist and support the Sales Manager in catchment mapping and scoping exercises
- Provide regular feedback to SM/RM on opportunities and customer needs
- Adhere to selling norms and SOPs defined by the organization
- Ensure strict compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations
Requirements:
- Graduate in any discipline
- Full-time employment
- 0-4 years of experience in the BFSI industry
- Strong market awareness and understanding of customer needs
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with other branch departments and functions to provide products and services to customers
