Job Title: Database Infrastructure Specialist

This is a critical role for ensuring the reliability and availability of database systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks, including technical support, issue diagnosis, and service improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Pluggable databases, as well as experience with installation, upgrade, and configuration of Oracle software. In-depth knowledge of Advanced Architectures, such as Multi-Node and ASM, is also required.

A strong understanding of backup utilities like RMAN, EXPDP/IMPDP, and Networker, as well as proven experience with database auditing and implementation of backup and recovery strategies, is essential.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration with technical peers, development teams, and project teams. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and good interpersonal skills are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Takes up technical tasks and supports day-to-day BAU tasks/incidents/RFCs.
  • Supports team members during diagnosis when technical issues arise in their scope of expertise.
  • Proposes service improvements for all Oracle/EBS services supported throughout the organization.
  • Provides technical knowledge and supports services proactively and reactively to maintain the availability and reliability of database system infrastructure according to the SLA.
  • Works in line with policies based on LEAN-CA-CIB best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
  • Working experience on 12c, 19c, and above Pluggable and Container databases.
  • In-depth understanding of Advanced Architectures (Multi-Node, RAC, ASM).
  • Installation, Upgrade & configuration of Oracle software.
  • Knowledge of Oracle RAC installation and configuration & management.
  • Experience in Database tuning including I/O, Load Analysis, ADDR, AWR, SQL Profiling etc.
  • Good hands-on experience with patching (Database/GRID).
  • Oracle ASM/ACFS implementation skills.
  • Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting physical standby databases using Data Guard Broker.
  • Expertise on backup utilities like RMAN, EXPDP/IMPDP, and Networker.
  • Implement backup and recovery of Oracle databases for various scenarios.
  • Proven experience with databases auditing.
  • Knowledge of Oracle OEM 12C/13C.
  • Administration over DB Objects including Tables, Clusters, Views, Procedures etc.
  • Good understanding of core support processes and change management, maintain documentation standards.
  • Capable of delivering under critical environment pressure, resolve complex production issues & provide support when required.
  • Proven track record for BAU tasks.
