Database Specialist Role

We are seeking a seasoned database specialist with extensive experience in Oracle technology and cloud infrastructure to lead our efforts in database modernization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database offerings and cloud infrastructure, as well as expertise in migrating workloads to the cloud.

About the Job:

  • Act as an Oracle technology subject matter expert, focusing on Oracle database offerings and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Lead discovery workshops for Oracle workloads, identifying business opportunities and technical blockers.
  • Support technical relationships with customers, delivering product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and guidance on database modernization.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop migration strategies for Oracle workloads to cloud environments.
  • Provide feedback to product management and engineering for product improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience with Oracle database, Oracle technology products, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with open-source databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Knowledge of cloud platform infrastructure, including containerization, storage, networking, and database services.
