Database Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Database Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with various database technologies including Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB.

You will work on initiatives to define best practices for major database-related tasks such as database configurations, optimization parameters, high availability, fault-tolerant systems implementations, space management, estimations, backups, restore solutions, and load balancer configuration. Additionally, you will work with global project teams to understand the challenges and risks in production systems and come up with solutions in close coordination with teams.

As a Database Specialist, you will have strong replication implementation skills and DR methodologies, as well as hands-on experience with database optimizations, infrastructure layouts, and automation tools. You will also have experience with cloud solutions, PaaS, and DBaaS.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience as a production DBA, with strong skills in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. You will also have experience with Linux, streaming replication, Oracle RAC databases, RMAN, logical replication solutions, and DevOps/SRE environments.
