Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

The Site Reliability Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our Data Center. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities, managing critical situations, and achieving Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The successful candidate will be expected to own Service Outages and SLAs, manage Preventive Maintenance (PPM), ensure safety compliance, and maintain audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Communication: Lead the Shift team and ensure all planned and unplanned activities are executed within the specified timeline with good communication.
  2. Complaint Tracking and Closure: Track all complaints and close them within the SLA deviation.
  3. Incident Management and RCA: Manage incidents and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with timely closure and periodic review of RCA recommendations.
  4. Asset Management: Manage assets, including warranty, AMC, lifecycle, and capacity management.
  5. 5 PPM Tracking and Completion: Track and complete 5 PPM activities within the agreed-upon timeframe with OEMs to ensure 100% availability of equipment.
  6. Vendor Management: Manage vendors with Real-time Asset Tracking (RAT) and Time-based Action Tracking (TAT) on complaints, ensuring uptime of redundant equipment.
  7. Stock Tracking and Record Keeping: Maintain records of all stocks as per Business Continuity Plan (BCP) requirements.
  8. Customer-Related Queries and Reporting: Coordinate with the Customer Experience Team for customer-related queries and submit reports on time.
  9. Compliance and Security: Maintain 100% compliance with periodic tracking, physical security processes, risk assessments, and inventory updates.
  10. Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and demonstrate competencies such as electrical/mechanical engineering degree, relevant work experience in data centers, solid technical background, and organizational skills.

Requirements:

Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: At least 7+ years of progressive data center and/or critical facilities experience.
