Job Summary

This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills to support the implementation of responsible workplace standards across mica processing and mining sites in India. The successful candidate will work closely with our governance bodies, executive team, members, and partners to achieve this mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish gap assessments of mica processors and mines versus RMI's Global Workplace Standard (GWS) and Co-design corrective action plans with processors and mine owners
  • Support processors and mine owners in implementing corrective action plans and monitor progress on compliance with RMI workplace and due diligence standards
  • Coordinate third-party audit protocol for RMI members and liaise with accredited auditing companies
  • Develop training content for auditors on RMI standards and conduct online or face-to-face training sessions
  • Perform quality checks on audit reports and analyze data to build presentations for stakeholders
  • Support the Workplace Standard and Sustainability Manager in Jharkhand if needed
  • District level advocacy in Rajasthan: Build and maintain relationships with local governmental officers/authorities and update them on RMI's progress and planned activities
About the Role

The Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI) is a global coalition aiming to establish a fair, responsible, and sustainable mica supply chain in India and Madagascar. Our work focuses on establishing responsible workplace standards across mica processing and mining sites in India.

The successful candidate will be based in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, and will work closely with our governance bodies, executive team, members, and partners to achieve this mission.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel regularly to mica processing and mining sites in India
  • Experience in supply chain sustainability management and responsible workplace standards
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
