Apparel Buyer Role

The Apparel Buyer is a crucial position within our organization, responsible for driving product assortment strategy to meet brand identity and sales growth objectives.

This role involves trend forecasting, vendor management, pricing strategy, and sales analysis. The buyer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure business requirements are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.

  • Assortment Planning: Develop and manage a product mix that reflects current trends and customer preferences across all sales channels.
  • Buying Decisions: Make data-driven purchasing choices, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Pricing Strategy: Create competitive pricing models in line with market trends and company financial goals.
  • Sales Analysis: Regularly review sales data, adjust strategies, and report findings to senior management.
  • Trend Forecasting: Collaborate with design teams to stay ahead of fashion trends and identify new product opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing and other teams to ensure seamless product launches and availability.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of apparel buying experience in retail.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and trend forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and buying/planning software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
