
Remote Customer Service Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Description:
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies on behalf of doctors/physicians to follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Prioritize pending/overdue tasks for calling/working from the aging basket.
- Work with claims companies (payers) to reprocess claims for payment of outstanding claims.
- Verify demographic/insurance information provided by patients.
- Escalate difficult collection situations to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Review provider claims that have not been paid by insurance companies or denied by them.
- Handle patient billing queries and update account information.
- Work on denied claims and route them to the correct department for resolution.
- Educate patients on their billing and insurance options.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to prioritize and manage work queue.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent typing skills, with a speed of at least 30-35 words per minute.
