Job Title: Business Development Lead

We are seeking a driven professional to drive growth in our Parametric Insurance vertical. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building sales from the ground up, strong industry relationships, and deep knowledge of parametric risk solutions.
This role is ideal for an individual who can lead strategic initiatives, build new markets, and drive sustainable revenue, especially in climate-sensitive and underserved segments.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for the Parametric Insurance vertical.
- Buid a sales team from scratch and design processes for prospecting, conversion, and closure.
- IDentify and convert new business opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams.
- Manage a robust sales pipeline and ensure consistent deal closures.
- Forg partnerships with insurers, reinsurance firms, agri-input companies, NBFCs, cooperatives, and government agencies.
- Generate and qualify leads while tailoring sales strategies to parametric product models.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, actuarial, tech, and operations teams to deliver custom parametric insurance solutions.
- Maintain market trends, weather and climate risk data, government policy shifts, and competitor offerings.
- Represent the company at relevant industry forums, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Build and mentor a lean sales team to scale operations.
- Ddeliver performance reports, revenue forecasts, and business insights to senior leadership.
