Job Overview

We seek a skilled Hardware CPU Validation Engineer to validate and verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of CPU hardware after silicon fabrication.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Post-Silicon Validation: Develop comprehensive post-silicon validation plans and test cases for CPU hardware.
  • Functional Testing: Perform functional, performance, power, and reliability testing on silicon prototypes using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG, and embedded trace.
  • Collaboration: Work with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to identify and debug silicon issues.
  • Test Analysis: Analyze test failures, provide detailed bug reports, and track issues to closure.
Required Expertise:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CPU Knowledge: Strong understanding of CPU microarchitecture and related components (cores, caches, memory controllers, interconnects).
  • Validation Experience: Experience with post-silicon validation methodologies and tools.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, or similar.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
