Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Plant and Machinery Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of plant and machinery operations, particularly in high-rise tower environments.

This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in managing teams across different departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the erection, dismantling, maintenance, and operation of Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, and placer booms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Erecting, dismantling, maintaining, and operating plant and machinery equipment, including Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, and placer booms.
  • Developing and implementing methodologies for equipment erection, operation, and maintenance, including preparation of checklists.
  • Managing spare parts inventory and optimizing costs, sourcing plant and machinery operators, mechanics, and other personnel as needed.
  • Generating management information systems (MIS) reports for Mechanical Heads at Head Office or Project In-charges.
  • Maintaining site records of equipment, including logbooks, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Preparing budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitoring them on a monthly basis.
  • Training personnel on the safe use of equipment and conducting regular safety inspections to prevent accidents.
  • Ensuring optimal use of plant and machinery corresponding to their rated productivity output.
  • Minimizing equipment breakdowns and ensuring maximum availability of equipment at sites.
  • Creating service schedules for each month based on hours/kilometers run and implementing them strictly to achieve minimum breakdowns of equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in plant and machinery operations.
