About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Debt Management Lawyer to join our team.

You will provide strategic legal guidance to senior stakeholders on optimizing debt management processes, ensuring they are ethical, compliant, and scalable.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in litigation processes, civil procedure, and relevant laws and regulations in India, preferably in debt management in banks, NBFCs, or asset reconstruction companies.

You will oversee and resolve debt-related disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel when required.

A key part of the role involves conducting in-depth legal research to support litigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

You will work closely with internal business, compliance, and legal teams to create practical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise senior stakeholders on legal strategies for optimizing debt management processes.
  • Oversee and resolve debt-related disputes and litigation.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support litigation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Work with internal business, compliance, and legal teams to create practical solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external legal partners and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in litigation processes, civil procedure, and relevant laws and regulations in India.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
