Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and recover outstanding debt from clients who have taken microfinance loans. This involves building relationships with borrowers, understanding their financial situations, and negotiating repayment plans to minimize Non-Performing Assets (NPAs). The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective collection strategies, maintaining detailed records of collection activities, and adhering to all regulatory guidelines and company policies related to debt collection practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively contacting borrowers with overdue microfinance loans to understand their financial situations and negotiate repayment plans.
  • Maintaining regular communication with borrowers to facilitate timely payments.
  • Conducting on-site visits to borrowers' residences or businesses to assess their financial situation and collect outstanding payments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with borrowers both verbally and in writing to understand their situations and negotiate repayment plans.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate with borrowers to reach mutually agreeable payment arrangements.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying challenges faced by borrowers and devising solutions to facilitate timely repayments.
  • Fieldwork Experience: Comfort with extensive field visits and interacting with customers in diverse locations.
  • Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial concepts to analyze borrowers' financial situations.
  • Legal Awareness: Familiarity with debt collection laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
