Job Overview:

  • Support IT Infrastructure: Provide timely and technical assistance to employees across various sites, addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a prompt and effective manner, documenting all service requests.
  • Maintain Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of installation procedures for standard and non-standard software packages.
  • Deploy Software and Hardware: Deploy and rollout software and hardware while managing client assets inventory.
  • Create Knowledge Base: Create and maintain knowledge base to support users and ensure network asset security through collaboration with the Cybersecurity team.
  • Update Problem Management Database: Update problem management database with timely and meaningful information according to desktop service levels.
  • Gather Information: Gather and log relevant information about issues and attempts to resolve them using provided tools and collective knowledge.
  • Utilize Knowledge Base: Utilize knowledge base to assist in troubleshooting efforts and share experiences with team members.
  • Onboard New Employees: Assist in deploying desktop PCs and peripherals and onboard new employees with GIT orientation to computer assets.
  • Respond to Inquiries: Respond to voice mail and email daily and develop working knowledge of all desktop applications and OS software supported by Desktop Services.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Internship/degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Work Experience: 2+ Years experience in Desktop and/or Helpdesk support.
  • Prior Work-Related Experience: Prior work-related experience with current standard desktop software (Microsoft Office, Windows).
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with additional languages as a plus.
  • Cultural Competence: Experience working with international clients in USA and Europe.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office, with SAP knowledge an asset.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with Desktop or Help Desk support an asset.
