Job Requirements

  • Perform SMAW, MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SAW welding based on project requirements and job specifications.
  • Weld structural steel components such as beams, columns, base plates, stiffeners, etc. ensuring proper fabrication techniques.
  • Read and interpret welding symbols, fabrication drawings, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure weld quality adheres to ASME / AWS / IS / EN standards for industrial and commercial applications.
  • Conduct fit-up, tack welding, and final welding as per approved procedures and protocols.
  • Work with QA/QC team for weld inspection, NDT clearance, and rework if required, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain tools, welding machines, and housekeeping in the work area, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Adhere to safety standards, utilizing personal protective equipment, conducting fire watch, obtaining hot work permits, etc., prioritizing workplace safety.

Requirements:
  • Qualification: ITI certification.
  • Experience: 2-7 years of experience in industrial fabrication or construction.
  • Certifications: Valid Welding Certifications (ASME/AWS/IS preferred).
  • Skills: Ability to work from fabrication drawings and welding symbols effectively.
  • Physical Requirements: Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces or at height safely.
  • Materials Knowledge: Familiarity with materials (CS, SS, alloy steel, etc.) used in fabrication and construction projects.
