Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models & 2D drawings of heavy fabrication components (frames, booms, arms, chassis, brackets, sheet metal).
  • Perform strength, tolerance, and weld design calculations.
  • Ensure manufacturability of designs with respect to cutting, bending, machining, and welding processes.
  • Prepare BOMs, technical specifications, and release drawings for production.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and customer standards.

Key Skills:

  • Hands-on expertise in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Key Creator Atlas.
  • GD&T, welding symbols, fabrication process knowledge.
  • Experience in heavy steel structures & assemblies.

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer who can develop 3D models and 2D drawings of heavy fabrication components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Key Creator Atlas, as well as experience in heavy steel structures and assemblies.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Develop detailed designs and drawings for complex heavy fabrication components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of product specifications and drawings.

Job Requirements:

  • Expert-level proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and welding symbolology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working with heavy steel structures and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
