Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our monitoring, evaluation, and learning functions across all country projects. The successful candidate will drive evidence-based decision-making and ensure the strong performance of our MEL functions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement rigorous impact evaluations to understand the effectiveness of our interventions.
  • Establish and manage systems and procedures that deliver timely, high-quality data for informed decision-making.
  • Analyze data to provide actionable insights that enable project teams to adapt and improve their approaches.
  • Serve as the go-to advisor on all technical aspects of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Work closely with leadership and donor teams on evaluations, impact studies, and reporting.
  • Create key indicators, tools, and processes for data collection and reporting across all project components.
  • Partner with program teams to embed MEL data into planning and decision-making.
  • Develop tools for tracking economic benefits and conducting multi-dimensional impact evaluations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Cordinate knowledge exchange activities and identify relevant funding and partnership opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluating development projects, preferably from a consulting background.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in matrix structures and work independently under pressure.
  • Experience thriving in entrepreneurial and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Expertise in quantitative field survey techniques and qualitative impact evaluation methods.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard MEL tools, such as logical frameworks and results frameworks.
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital technology for MEL functions.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to conduct field assessments and synthesize data using statistical software and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication, oral and written, report writing, and presentation skills, including proficiency in MS Office and relevant database management and analysis software.
  • Ability to engage in high-level discussions with donors on MEL design, sampling, outcomes, and policy implications.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to project locations.
