Senior Academic Leader in Physiotherapy

The Professor/Academic Lead is integral to the academic success of the Physiotherapy department, responsible for delivering high-quality educational content and conducting impactful research. This role encompasses teaching, curriculum development, student evaluation, and contributing to the overall growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct in the areas of Physiotherapy at various academic levels, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the subject matter.
  • Create and maintain course materials and curriculum, fostering innovation and engagement among students.
  • Evaluate students' assignments and performance, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
Research Focus:
  • Conduct research in Physiotherapy, targeting publication in reputable journals and securing external funding to support research initiatives.
Mentorship and Leadership:
  • Provide academic and career mentorship to students, overseeing their projects and research efforts, and guiding them towards successful outcomes.
Service and Engagement:
  • Pursue opportunities for departmental and university service, including committee participation, to contribute to the greater good of the institution.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to foster collaborative initiatives, promoting the advancement of Physiotherapy.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Physiotherapy or a related field, demonstrate excellence in research and teaching, exhibit effective communication and interpersonal skills, and display a strong track record of publications in reputable journals, securing research funding, and relevant industry experience in Physiotherapy.
