Job Description:

The selected candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, strategic planning, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the Physiotherapy College achieves its goals. They will develop and implement programs that enhance teaching, research, and clinical practice, aligning with institutional and statutory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Visionary
    • Develop, implement, and monitor academic programs ensuring compliance with University, UGC, and statutory council norms.
    • Oversee curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment to promote student learning and success.
    • Guide faculty members in research initiatives, publications, and participation in academic forums to strengthen the college's reputation.
    • Ensure effective integration of clinical training with hospital services to provide students with practical experience.
  • Strategic Administrator
    • Manage day-to-day operations of the Physiotherapy College/Department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (UGC, State Council, University guidelines) to maintain accreditation standards.
    • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff performance to maintain high-quality teaching and service delivery.
    • Prepare budgets and manage resources to ensure infrastructure adequacy and support operational needs.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to accreditation standards (NABH, NAAC, etc.) through regular audits and assessments.
    • Maintain accurate records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities to facilitate decision-making.
    • Facilitate audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies to maintain institutional reputation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build collaborative relationships with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies to enhance opportunities for students and faculty.
    • Organize workshops, conferences, and continuing medical education (CME) events to foster networking and knowledge-sharing.
    • Engage with parents, students, and alumni to strengthen the institution's reputation and foster a sense of community.

Key Skills & Competencies include strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, knowledge of physiotherapy education, pedagogy, and healthcare trends, and ability to balance academics, clinical, and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience: MPT / Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory) with minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role.
