The pharmacy leadership position requires a unique blend of academic qualifications, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of the disciplines within pharmacy. As a key member of the university community, the successful candidate will provide strategic guidance in areas such as pedagogy, curriculum, research, student recruitment and retention, and faculty development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive college strategy, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
  • Academic Program Oversight: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs, including curriculum design and assessment.
  • Faculty Management: Recruit, develop, and evaluate faculty members to ensure the college's academic excellence.
  • Collaboration and Representation: Foster collaborative working relationships with other university departments and external organizations, and represent the pharmacy school at professional meetings and events.

The ideal candidate will have an established national reputation in research and/or creative achievement, teaching, and service. They should possess scholarship, academic achievement, and the energy and intellect to work collaboratively with the faculty to develop a challenging and compelling vision.

Requirements
  • A PhD from an accredited university with a first-class degree at Bachelor's and Master's level in pharmacy.
  • 15 years' experience in teaching/industry/research, with 5 years at the level of professor or above in pharmacy.
