Pharmacy Dean Position

The Pharmacy School is seeking a visionary leader to drive its academic, administrative, and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pharmacy education and curriculum development, as well as strong leadership, management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the college's strategic plan, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
  • Academic Program Oversight: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs, including curriculum design and assessment.
  • Faculty Management: Recruit, develop, and evaluate faculty members.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage the college's resources and personnel effectively.
  • Accreditation: Ensure accreditation standards are met and prepare for accreditation visits.
  • Representation: Represent the pharmacy school at professional meetings and events.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • An established national reputation in research and/or creative achievement, teaching, and service.
  • Scholarship, academic achievement, and the energy and intellect to work collaboratively with the faculty to develop a challenging and compelling vision.
  • Citations of research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Desirable Administrative experience in a responsible position.
Education and Experience:
  • A PhD from an accredited university with a first-class degree at the Bachelor's and Master's level in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
  • 15 years' experience in Teaching/industry/Research, with 5 years at the level of Professor or above in Pharmacy.
