Job Summary

The Dean of the School of Pharmacy is a senior leadership position that requires a visionary leader to drive strategic goals, oversee academic programs, and provide guidance in pedagogy, curriculum, research, student recruitment, and faculty development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the college's strategic plan, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
  • Oversee academic program development, implementation, and evaluation, including curriculum design and assessment.
  • Recruit, develop, and evaluate faculty members.
  • Manage personnel and resources effectively.
  • Evaluate and prepare for accreditation visits.
  • Represent the pharmacy school at professional meetings and events.
  • Coordinate with other university departments and external organizations.
Requirements
  • A strong national reputation in research, teaching, and service.
  • Scholarship, academic achievement, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty to develop a compelling vision.
  • Research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Desirable administrative experience in a responsible position.
Education and Experience
  • A PhD from an accredited university with a first-class degree at the bachelor's and master's level in the relevant branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
  • 15 years of experience in teaching, industry, or research, with at least 5 years at the level of Professor or above in Pharmacy.
