We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Guest Services Associate. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our front office.
- Process all guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Secure payment; activate/reissue room keys while maintaining confidentiality and security protocols.
- Evaluate and document exceptions to ensure accuracy and fairness in rate applications.
- Verify and adjust billing for guests to prevent errors and resolve any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with appropriate staff when guests are waiting for an available room, prioritizing their needs and concerns.
- Inform guests of messages and updates in a clear and respectful manner.
- Clear departures from the computer system to maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room status and address guest concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
- File guest paperwork or documentation securely and efficiently.
- Operate the telephone switchboard station with poise and confidence, handling multiple calls and requests simultaneously.
- Run and check daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports to stay informed and proactive.
- Provide directions and information to guests with a smile and a willingness to help.
- Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns in a friendly and professional tone, following up to ensure each has been met to their satisfaction.
- Arrange transportation for guests and visitors as needed, ensuring seamless and stress-free experiences.
- Count and secure bank at the beginning and end of shift, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Cash-guests checks, process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, charges, and provide change with a positive attitude and excellent cash-handling skills.
- Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any reports of theft or suspicious activity, taking swift action to resolve the issue.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: No prior experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
- Supervisory Experience: None required, but strong leadership skills are beneficial.
- License or Certification: Not applicable.
