Senior ALM Strategist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ALM Strategist to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and assessing risk factors on a timely basis, providing insights to top management, and developing operating limits in accordance with policies and risk levels.
  • Key responsibilities include undertaking ALM modeling and historical analysis, developing supporting assumptions, and running models in accordance with policy.
  • Additional duties include back testing and validating ALM indicators and assumptions, developing and maintaining policies, frameworks, monitoring tools, and reviews of limits and breaches.
  • The ideal candidate will also prepare reports and analysis specified by ALM, including funding concentration, NII simulation, liability profile analysis, EVE and EaR simulations, basis risk, and optionality.
  • Furthermore, they will lead and drive enhancement projects required for ALM risk systems and ensure timely delivery of ALM projects and change initiatives with quality within approved timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess ALM risk factors on a timely basis.
  • Provide insights on ALM profile and implementation of directives to top management.
  • Develop and set operating limits in accordance with policies and risk levels.
  • Undertake ALM modeling and historical analysis.
  • Back test and validate ALM indicators and assumptions.
  • Develop and maintain ALM policies, frameworks, monitoring tools, and reviews of limits and breaches.
  • Prepare reports and analysis specified by ALM.
  • Lead and drive enhancement projects required for ALM risk systems.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ALM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
